On-Site Information

Your name badge is your passport to all Summit activities and must be worn at all times for access to Alberta Wellness Summit sessions and events.

Attendees are asked to pick up their badges from the Calgary Telus Convention Centre registration area which is located outside the Exhibition Hall (North Side Upper Level). This is also where you will need to proceed to register on-site if you did not pre-register online.

Registration Hours
Thursday, June 15: 12pm - 6pm
Friday, June 16: 7am - 6pm
Saturday, June 17: 7am - 12pm

Session Information
Open sessions are available to all registered Summit attendees with the exception of the Sponsors, Exhibitors, and Guests. Guests registered as "Guest/Partners - Full Access" may attend sessions. No additional fee is charged for these sessions. There is no pre-registration for sessions. All sessions are on a first come, first served basis. Please note the times of the session you intend to attend and arrive early as some capacities are limited.

The Basic Life Support workshop requires advanced registration and fees apply. Registration in these courses is limited and must be reserved during the registration process, or at a further date by accessing your conference registration online here.

Please be considerate by silencing your electronic devices prior to entering any of the sessions, workshops or panel discussions.

Adding/Changing Workshops or Social Events
Workshops and/or social events require pre-registration and may be added online, subject to availability, until June 1, 2022. If you have already registered for the conference and require additional tickets to one of the pre-registration Workshops or social events - Click here

Badge Scanning
All attendees must be scanned in upon attending a session to be recorded for CE purposes.

You do not have to pre-register for open sessions to receive CE Credit. For those attendees that require session scans for CE reports, please ensure that you are scanned in. Credits will not be recorded if you do not scan both in for each session. Should you choose to leave early for any reason you must scan out.

Room Capacity
All rooms are set to the maximum capacity allowed by the fire code. Space is limited and cannot always be guaranteed.

For sessions and panel discussions:

These are open for pre-registration, but pre-registration is not necessary. If seating becomes limited, those attendees that pre-registered will be allowed in 15 minutes before the session start time. Walk-ins will then be welcome on a first-come, first-serve basis 10 minutes prior to program start time.

For workshops and social events:

Capacities for workshops and social events are limited. Pre-registration is highly recommended. If you do not pre-register online, you will be required to register and pay at the main registration desk on-site prior to entering the workshop or social event. Attendance is limited and cannot be guaranteed if you do not pre-register

Attire
Please note that temperatures may vary in the session rooms, consider dressing in layers.

Coffee Breaks
There are no scheduled coffee breaks during the sessions. Water & coffee stations will be provided near all meeting rooms.

Child Care Policy
Children and infants are not permitted in any of the Summit session rooms. Infants are permitted in the Wellness Expo in a 'snugglie' only. Strollers are strictly prohibited. The Summit venue does not provide daycare, please check your hotel concierge for these services if needed.

Consent to the Use of Photographic Images
Registration and attendance at, or participation at the Alberta Wellness Summit (AWS) and Crown Gala constitutes an agreement by the attendee to the Alberta Wellness Summit's use and distribution (both now and in the future) of the registrant or attendee's image or voice in photographs, videotapes, electronic reproductions and audiotapes.

We will not be printing a program. All information will be available on this website with informational signage on-site. Plan ahead, print only what you need if you wish, and familiarize yourself with our website.
